Saturday Night 8:30 PM Crowning of the Queen

Each year, the crowning of the Queens at the Holy Cross Society in Easton, PA stands as one of the most cherished and meaningful moments in the Society’s annual celebration. It is a ceremony rooted in faith, family, and the enduring pride of Sicilian heritage. The young women who are crowned do not simply wear a title, they represent generations of devotion, sacrifice, and tradition carried across the ocean from Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily.

These Queens are descendants of the original members who established the Society after immigrating to America, bringing with them their deep faith, strong work ethic, and unwavering sense of community. Through them, the story continues, a story of families who remained connected to their homeland while building new roots in Easton. The crowning serves as a visible reminder that culture is not lost with time; it is preserved through remembrance, participation, and pride.

As each Queen is honored, the Society celebrates more than a tradition. It celebrates continuity. It honors the ancestors who laid the foundation and the young women who now carry that heritage forward with grace, dignity, and reverence for their Sicilian roots.
