Lia Pignotti is the daughter of Joe and Rosina (Frinzi) Pignotti of Forks Township. She is the granddaughter of the late Tom and Marie Frinzi and the late Joe and Catherine Pignotti.   Lia’s grandfather, Tom, came from Santo Stefano di Camastra in the province of Messina, Sicily.  Her sister, Rachael, lives in Philadelphia.

Lia is a member of Saint Rocco’s Roman Catholic Church in Martins Creek. She is a senior at Easton Area High School and is a member of the Varsity Cheerleading Team. At school, Lia is a member of the Italian club, Yearbook Staff, and National Honor Society. She has volunteered for Special Olympics, Relay-For-Life, various art shows, and at the 3rd Street Alliance; a non-profit organization in downtown Easton. Lia has taken private art lessons for the past ten years and plans to major in art in college.

Lia has traveled to Sicily with her family and has toured the Italian mainland. While in Sicily, Lia went to Santo Stefano di Camastra and visited the Sanctuary of Letto Santo. She loved experiencing the Sicilian culture.

For the past four years, Lia has participated in the Holy Cross Court, and is very grateful for all the members of the Holy Cross Society and Auxiliary for keeping the celebration and tradition of our heritage alive. She is honored to be the Queen of the 103rd Holy Cross and hopes all attending enjoy this year’s celebration!

About Us:

Founded in 1911 by our parents and grandparents who migrated from Santo Stefano di Camastra, in the Province of Messina, on the island of Sicily.  These brave young people traveled to the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey.  Today, the Holy Cross Society continues to share many of the same cultural traits and traditions of our ancestors.

Many of the decendents of our original founders continue the Sicilian traditions and celebrate our heritage at an annual festival at Holy Cross Park in Easton, PA. Please join us on th second weekend in September as we continue the tradition fo our ancestors and pay tribute to our historical roots.

All Members are urged to attend our Regularly Scheduled Meetings.
